Bauhaus show

On Friday I went to see the MoMA Bauhaus show. If you are in the NYC area I totally recommend going to see it. Be sure to watch the video of the interiors, it's really inspiring. Here is a selection of my favorite pieces from the show. It closes January 25th.

new bulletin board

This weekend I decided to switch out my framed pegboard in my craft room for a bulletin board. I've been wanting to hang up inspiration lately and didn't have a spot. I did like using the pegboard to hang tools, we'll see if I miss it. To make the bulletin board I covered a pieced of foam core cut to the size of the frame and covered it with linen.

Here is the pegboard I had before. Which do you like better?

Dime bag

Hi,
I keep meaning to post this but there are just a few days left to see this show! I participated again in a group show organized by Jordin Isip and Rodger Stevens. It's always a fun challenge. This time it's called Dime Bag and each piece is enclosed in a mini ziplock bag. It's at Giant Robot here in NYC and all pieces are available to purchase online.

Here is my piece and MANY others. Check it out by Aug 12th!

Lines and Shapes

Well the new Lines and Shapes is out and I'm happy to announce I am contributor this time. The theme is Thread, which is right up my alley as you can imagine. If you aren't familiar with the book series, you can read about it here. It's quite inspiring to see how different artists approach the same theme. Thanks to Lena and Mav for asking me to participate!

As I mentioned we are in the process of packing up to move next week. Between boxes of stuff from work and boxes of stuff here I have so many little bits of paper I can't seem to part with. Maybe in my new workroom I will have a giant bulletin board. I thought I would show you some inspiration from my files from time to time. (also for my own reference) My favorite color is blue, especially deep indigo blues.
