I didn't realize I hadn't posted in almost a month! I'm happy I've finally gotten the baby area (since we don't have a separate room) in order. We took a trip a few weekends ago to the Buck's County area in Pennsylvania and New Jersey to do some antiquing. We got the rocking chair, red shelves and some odds and ends. We were looking for a dresser but ended up just getting one at Ikea. I painted it a light grey, which changed the look a bit.
I made a mobile out of fabric scrap yoyos.
I also have been working on this crochet afghan. I have realized though that since the baby's supposed to come in August I'll have plenty time to finish it before it's cold enough to use it.
So, so adorable, Laura! When I was pregnant, my brother's card to us said, "Welcome to the world of brightly colored plastic." But, NOT SO with this little one! This is going to be one amazing creative baby space!! Of course, because of the amazing creative mom!! :)

It all looks so fun and playful! Your baby will be very happy growing up in this room. I'm going to have to steal the yo-yo mobile idea for myself; it's so clever and looks great!

Love it. And, love the denim rug, too. Hey, where in NJ do you go for antiques? Do share. Hope all is going well!

Hello from Scotland! I just had to comment on what a lovely way of arranging things you have, from the furniture to the paintings, it all looks gorgeous! How exciting to think in a few weeks your little bundle will be sleeping in this lovely space that you have created so beautifully!

So beautiful, as always, Laura. I know you will get a lot of annoying questions like mine after posting this darling nursery, but where did you get the rug. I'm in the market for a few rugs myself, and am having trouble finding ones I like.

Hi Courtney,
I got the rug at Land of Nod. Here is the link: http://www.landofnod.com/family.aspx?c=10444&f=1794
Hope your summer is going well. I'm sure I'll be looking at your past projects once my baby gets older.

Abby,
I was thinking of doing a post of my favorite antiquing spots in NJ/PA because I've done that trip a few times now. I'll let you know.

Leslie,
I got the Moses basket from Nature Baby. I love everything there but beware of shipping costs since it's in New Zealand!
