I have updated my shop with some new crochet hairclips, fabric flower hairclips and paper garlands. Hope you take a look!

Quick update

Here a few announcements and updates:

• Margaret Roach, a talented blogger and gardener, and also the Editor in Chief when I was at Martha Stewart Living, has put together her favorite picks on Etsy's handmade blog. She included Wren Handmade!

• Just a reminder about the September doll making class which will be held at Lena Corwin's studio in Fort Greene Brooklyn. Click here for more info and to sign up. It would be great to meet you and do some crafting together.

• I have updated my Etsy shop with new dolls!

Hi,
I'm just back from a little trip to Seattle for a wedding. It was a great time and I'm just now easing back into the week. The time difference got me this morning, I'm usually like to get up really early.

I am so happy to be guest blogging this week on Design Sponge. I will be doing a DIY project each day this week, trying to use up all the bits and scraps I've been saving and can't bear to throw away. Check it out!

I have been crocheting many necklaces trying to get them updated in the shop this week. I'm hoping for tomorrow. I've made all different lengths and colorways. It's fun making up the tiny doily patterns.

Lines and Shapes

Well the new Lines and Shapes is out and I'm happy to announce I am contributor this time. The theme is Thread, which is right up my alley as you can imagine. If you aren't familiar with the book series, you can read about it here. It's quite inspiring to see how different artists approach the same theme. Thanks to Lena and Mav for asking me to participate!

I have updated my Etsy shop with several different items today. Please stop by and take a look!

It's stopped raining here in Brooklyn so I think I'll take the opportunity to get outside and run some errands. Might have to take a detour through the park too!

Thanks to everyone who came by this weekend and said hi at Renegade. The weather was great and it was a lot of fun. This year I shared my booth with my friend Kylie Fife, check out her blog Jones Fife. She's been making great bracelets and earrings. I will be updating my Etsy shop this week with hairclips, one necklace, bracelets and a few framed granny square pieces. More info to come about the exact time of the update. I really appreciate the people who stop by and tell me how they like the blog, thanks!

Crafting update and Habu textiles

Do you guys know about Habu Textiles? It's a Japanese yarn company here in NYC. If you live here or are ever in town it is definitely worth a visit. I always buy too much. It's so tempting because they have small amounts and leftovers which are not that expensive. I like to use little bits of different yarns for my granny squares or necklaces, bracelets, etc.

I bought these small cones of thread specifically for necklaces....(oh, and I splurged on 1 yard of this hand woven linen too.)
